Et dire que j'ai failli commettre un post très critique récemment sur mes confrères photographes américains. J'étais en effet ulcérée par la manie systématique des médias, ici ,à publier des photos très peu flatteuses d'Hillary Clinton. En revanche, Barack Obama, lui, toujours impeccable, classe, pour ne pas dire sexy. J'essaie d'être objective là. Et puis, après deux jours en Caroline du Sud, à suivre les candidats démocrates en campagne, j'ai bien dû me rendre à l'évidence.
Hillary n'est pas photogénique, mais alors PAS DU TOUT! Et je vous assure que je l'ai mitraillée, sans succès. Surtout, si quelqu'un a le bras long, qu'il dise au plus vite à ses conseillers en images de la sommer de cesser immédiatement d'écarquiller les yeux à chaque fois qu'elle salue quelqu'un!
A few weeks ago, i almost wrote a post to condemn my colleagues photographers who keep publishing very unflattering pictures of Hillary Clinton. As if they have an agenda. In comparison, Barack Obama alway comes out as a perfect, classy, handsome, and well, sexy, man. After a couple of days spent in South Carolina to cover the democratic campaign, i can only admit that Ms Clinton is not photogenic.
As hard as i tried, i couldn't come up with a better picture. So if anyone knows anyone close to her image consultants, please pass the word out. She has to stop making that eyes thing whenever she shakes a hand. And she does shake a lot of hands these days.
